Xiamen, on China's subtropical southeast coast, is one of the country's most welcoming destinations for international visitors — a city of sea breezes, colonial heritage on UNESCO-listed Gulangyu, Minnan temple culture and easy access to the gastronomic wonders of Chaoshan. Hengtong Holiday (+86 137 9925 4912) has hosted foreign guests since 2013.
Visa & Entry
Most nationalities need a Chinese L-tourist visa, obtainable from Chinese embassies or consulates with passport, photo, itinerary, hotel bookings and return tickets. Xiamen Gaoqi Airport also offers 144-hour visa-free transit for citizens of 54 countries (including the US, UK, Canada, Australia and most of the EU), allowing up to six days in Fujian without a visa. As a licensed inbound operator, we can issue official visa invitation letters and provide English-language airport pick-up.
Getting There
- Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) has direct flights from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Los Angeles and more.
- High-speed rail: 3 hours from Shenzhen, 4 hours from Guangzhou, 6 hours from Shanghai, 2.5 hours from Wuyi Mountain.
- A 30-minute ferry connects Xiamen to Kinmen for travellers continuing to Taiwan.
